Breaking the Ground
Before anything can grow, the soil must be prepared. Breaking the ground means allowing God to turn over the hardened areas of our hearts, lives, and habits. It’s the uncomfortable, yet powerful beginning of transformation—where we choose to face what’s been buried or neglected and invite Him in to soften the soil.
At Sower, we believe that doing the hard work first leads to lasting change. As Hosea 10:12 reminds us, “Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord.” This is where the journey begins—with humility, surrender, and a readiness to grow.
This stage is crucial. In the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13), Jesus explains how seed scattered on unprepared soil either springs up quickly and dies because it has no depth, or gets choked out by thorns—representing the worries and distractions of life. The seed may have been good, but the soil wasn’t ready. The result? No lasting growth.
That’s why breaking the ground matters. It’s not just a first step—it’s the foundation. Without it, the Word can’t take root. But when the soil is deliberately tilled and made ready, the harvest is guaranteed. Jesus said that good soil yields a return—thirty, sixty, even a hundredfold. That’s not just survival; that’s abundance.
So we dig in, not with fear but with faith—knowing that every stone removed, every hardened patch broken up, makes room for something greater. This is the stage of intention, of spiritual preparation, and of choosing lasting fruit over temporary flashes.
This is the beginning of real transformation.
This is where the Sower’s work starts.

Sowing the Seeds
Once the ground is ready, it's time to sow. But not just anything—the seeds we plant matter. In Matthew 13, Jesus tells the Parable of the Sower, showing how only seeds planted in good soil bear lasting fruit. For us, this stage is about being intentional with what we sow into our lives and into others—seeds of truth, kindness, purity, and faith. Through every design, message, and connection, we aim to plant what will endure and bring life. What you wear, what you speak, what you believe—it’s all seed. And it all matters.
Matthew 13:3–9 – The Parable of the Sower
Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them.
Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth.
But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away.
And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them.
But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Nourishing the Soil
Planting seeds is only the beginning. Anyone can scatter, but real growth comes through deliberate tending. Seeds don’t grow overnight—they need care, consistency, and the right nourishment to thrive. Spiritually, that means staying rooted in the Word, connected to community, and covered in prayer. It means returning daily to the Source, feeding your faith even when the soil feels dry or the growth unseen.
As Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 3:6, “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God gave the increase.” At Sower, this truth shapes everything we do. We sow with intentionality, water with grace, and trust God with the harvest. It’s a shared process—a partnership between heaven and earth.
We believe spiritual growth is a lifestyle. It’s not just about the high moments or the initial spark; it’s about showing up daily to nurture what God has started. Whether through worship, Scripture, community, or the quiet obedience of unseen moments, we feed what we’ve planted with truth, love, and commitment.
At Sower, we call this the “in-between work”—the sacred, often hidden practice of nourishing the soil of the heart. It’s not glamorous, but it’s powerful. It’s in these rhythms—small acts of surrender and faith—that transformation takes root. So we keep sowing, keep watering, and keep believing. Because what’s nurtured in faith will flourish in time. And the harvest? That’s God’s promise.

Patience in the Waiting
Not every seed sprouts right away. Some of the most crucial growth happens beneath the surface—hidden, quiet, and sacred. It’s in that unseen space, where no one sees it but God, that the roots begin to take hold. This is where faith becomes real. It’s easy to celebrate the harvest, but much harder to trust the process when all you see is dirt.
This stage—the waiting, the trusting—is the heart behind our Planted & Patient design from the Sketch Series. It's a reminder that being planted is not the same as being stuck. It’s an invitation to surrender to the process God is unfolding beneath the surface. As 2 Corinthians 5:7 declares, “We walk by faith, not by sight.” That’s not just a nice verse—it’s the lifeblood of this season.
Growth doesn’t always look like progress. Sometimes it looks like stillness. Like staying rooted in prayer. Like resting in God’s promises even when nothing seems to be changing. And that’s where patience is formed—not in motion, but in the still, surrendered moments when you choose to believe God is doing more than you can see.
Isaiah 40:31 says, “Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.” Waiting isn’t weakness—it’s warfare in the Spirit. It’s choosing trust over control. It’s staying under God’s covering instead of rushing the bloom. In this space, we learn to take shelter in the safe place—God’s presence—and to let Him nourish what’s been planted.
Planted & Patient speaks to those moments. It’s for the ones who feel buried but are actually being rooted. For those who need the reminder that God never forgets a seed sown in faith. It’s not over—it’s just underground. And in due season, what’s been planted will break through.
Because what’s grown in the dark with God will bloom in the light with purpose.

Reaching higher with every new day
As the roots deepen, growth begins. Quietly at first—often hidden, often slow—but with each passing day, there’s a sacred stretch. This is the point where we start to reach—not just upward for the sake of progress, but toward purpose, toward healing, and ultimately, toward God Himself.
This is the heartbeat behind our “Reaching Higher” design from the Sketch Series. It’s a visual reminder that while the soil is where we start, the sky is not the limit—Heaven is.
Colossians 2:7 says we are to be “rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” True growth isn’t just about moving forward—it’s about growing upward. Becoming stronger, wiser, more grounded in truth and more lifted by grace. And that kind of growth doesn’t come from striving—it comes from surrender.
At Sower, we believe every day is a new opportunity to rise a little higher. Not in ego, but in faith. Not in hustle, but in hope. The more rooted we are in the Word, the freer we are to grow toward the light. Like a plant that turns toward the sun, our spirit leans toward the presence of God.
Isaiah 58:11 encourages us with this: “The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.”
“Reaching Higher” is for those who know they’re not where they want to be yet, but they’re not where they used to be either. It’s for those who press forward, day by day, watered by the Word and nourished by grace. Each stretch, each step, each prayer lifts us closer to who God is calling us to become.
So let your life reflect the upward pull of grace. Keep growing. Keep trusting. Keep reaching.
Because in every upward stretch, Heaven gets closer.

Prayer, Worship, and Becoming
True growth isn’t just physical—it’s spiritual. It’s not just about doing more, achieving more, or building outward success. It’s about becoming. Becoming more grounded. More aware. More connected to the heart of God.
This stage in the growth journey is where things begin to shift—not just around us, but within us. It’s the point where our faith takes deeper root, and transformation begins to take place from the inside out. We’re no longer simply planted and waiting; we’re actively maturing—stretching into who we were always created to be.
At this stage, prayer and worship become like air and water to the soul—non-negotiables for growth. Prayer isn’t just about speaking; it’s about listening, aligning our hearts with God’s. And worship isn’t just singing—it’s surrender. It’s choosing to lift our eyes even when we feel low. It’s meeting God in the secret place and letting His presence refine us.
2 Peter 3:18 urges us: “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” That’s not a suggestion—it’s a call to transformation. Grace and knowledge go hand in hand. Grace keeps us grounded in identity; knowledge helps us walk in wisdom. Together, they create the spiritual nutrients that grow character, compassion, and Christlikeness.
At Sower, we know that this stage is often quiet, almost invisible to others. But it’s also deeply powerful. This is where identity is shaped, strongholds are broken, and healing begins to take root. It’s not always comfortable—but growth rarely is. In the refining fire of God’s presence, we’re made new. In the stillness of prayer, we are reminded of who we are and whose we are.
This is the phase where we move from survival mode to transformation mode. We start to realize that God isn’t just trying to fix us—He’s forming us. Molding us into something that reflects His love, His truth, His image. Day by day, we become more like Jesus—not by force, but by proximity. The more time we spend in His presence, the more we reflect His nature.
So, we keep praying. We keep worshiping. We stay rooted. Because growth that leads to transformation doesn’t happen in a rush—it happens in surrender.
Let the Spirit water every hidden part of you. Let truth dig deeper. And let grace be the atmosphere you grow in.
Because in this season, you’re not just growing.
You’re becoming.

The Harvest
This is where the work meets reward. After the breaking of ground, the intentional planting, the steady watering, the patient waiting, and the unseen work beneath the surface—comes the season of harvest. It's not just a moment of joy, it’s a testimony. A visible result of the faith it took to stay the course.
Galatians 6:9 encourages us with these words: “Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” At Sower, we hold tightly to that promise. Because the path to harvest is not without struggle. There are days full of dirt under your nails, prayers that felt unanswered, and moments where you wondered if any of it was working.
But God never forgets the seeds planted in faith.
The harvest might look different for everyone—healing after heartbreak, clarity after confusion, restoration of something once lost, or simply a deep sense of peace and purpose that you can’t explain. Whatever form it takes, it is always worth the wait. Always worth the work.
This is the season we call fruitful—not just because of what’s grown, but because of who you’ve become in the process. You’re no longer the same as you were when you first broke the ground. Your roots are deeper. Your faith is stronger. Your heart is more surrendered. And your hands? They’ve learned how to serve, to give, and to hold on through the waiting.
At Sower, we don’t see the harvest as the end of the journey—it’s a reflection of every act of obedience that led up to it. Every moment you chose faith over fear, prayer over panic, surrender over striving. It’s a celebration of God’s faithfulness, not our perfection.
Harvest is a holy reminder that when we partner with God—when we commit to sowing truth, cultivating love, and nourishing what He’s planted—we will see fruit in due time. Not because we earned it, but because He promised it.
So we celebrate the harvest. Not as a finish line, but as a milestone. A sacred pause where we lift our hands in gratitude, breathe in the beauty of what God has done, and prepare for the next season of sowing.
Because in the Kingdom, every harvest holds seeds for what’s next.
